Welcome to Finer Connections!
Hi, I’m Natalie Pizzolla and I’m passionate about helping you improve the relationships in your life. I started Finer Connections because I’ve always dreamed of helping people improve their relationships, for me, this is key for a happy life. But I didn’t receive the push I needed until I relocated with my husband to Italy. Life is interesting in that way.
I began studying psychology at Penn State because I was fascinated with understanding people. But I must admit, I selfishly also wanted to better understand myself. I then went on to obtain my Master of Social Work at Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and licensure in NY. In my over 10 years of experience, I’ve counseled individuals and families, worked in advocacy, coached staff and managed programs and departments.
In my work, and personal life, I’ve come to see the importance of having quality relationships. And I believe that there are practical steps that we can take to improve our relationships, which is what I practice in my coaching. Quality relationships are no longer a luxury, considering that poor quality relationships can have a negative affect on your health. And I can personally attest to this as I’ve used these skills to address relationship issues in my own life and have reaped the benefits.
In my blog I write about ways you can improve relationships with your partner, colleagues, friends and family, as well as personal growth which leads to greater relationships. I draw on my studies of psychology and human behavior, my experiences from work as well as my life experiences. I’ve made many mistakes, which I used to beat myself up about. But now I appreciate them as I’ve learned from them and these learning experiences have shaped who I am. My hope is that you’ll be able to gain something from my experiences and improve the quality of the relationships in your life.
A Little More About Me
I’ve worked at 5 organizations since undergrad from entry level to Middle Manager, which has allowed me to gain insight into work relationships.
I married my husband 3 months after meeting him in Italy while I was on vacation. This experience has given me the most insight into the essentials of a successful relationship. Learned most of them by the mistakes we made, by the way.
I love to learn. I’m committed to growing as a coach, wife, daughter, friend and a human being. I cannot accept stagnation. I believe when we stop growing, there’s less we have to contribute to our society.
